BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2012

Now in its 48th year the exhibition has be opened by Taoiseach, Enda Kenny in the RDS, Dublin. This year saw more then 3,800 students submitting 1,700 projects, the largest number of entries ever. 

The exhibitoin first stared in 1965 after two UCD physics researchers, Rev.Dr. Tom Burke and Dr. Tony Scott were inspired from science fairs that they saw while in America. Every year more and more entries are submitted, and with over 40,000 visiters the exhibitioin is one of the largest in the world.
